As most of you know, I'm not a Torre basher but I do often criticize his moves.
However, I couldn't help but shake my head when I read this gem in the NY Times about Kyle Farnsworth and why he hasn't lost his spot as the primary 8th inning guy:
"Farnsie has the most experience doing that for the eighth and the ninth; he was a closer, too," Torre said. "I'd have to see something really bad from him where he was very inconsistent, and I haven't seen that."
Please tell me you're kidding, Joe!
You haven't seen Kyle Farnsworth get really bad or very inconsistent? Have you actually watched him pitch this season?
Yikes. I am at a loss for words. Get ready for a lot more 8th inning heartache if the Yanks can't find any suitors for Farnsworth.
I hate to say it, but I don't think he's going anywhere.
