Kei Igawa, LHP (2-2, 7.14)
Kei Igawa makes his first career start against the Jays, while Josh Towers has been bullied by the Yanks during his career (2-7, 4.62 in 12 games). Tonight's game certainly has the makings of a long night with a lot of runs scored and several innings of relief by tired bullpens.
The PA oddsmakers have returned and set the over/under on Igawa's walk total at 3.5. Opposing hitters are hitting .363 against Igawa at the Stadium.
I was thinking about this yesterday and many in the Yankee blogosphere mentioned it today, but keep an eye on A-Rod tonight and how the Jays pitch to him. As you may recall, this is the first time since the "Ha!" incident back on May 30th in Toronto and the Jays were pretty bent out of shape about it. I'd expect A-Rod to get drilled in his first at-bat unless there are runners on base.
