First off, ESPN reports that Roger Clemens threw 62 pitches of BP in Tampa today and appears ready to make his 2007 debut on Saturday against the Pirates.  Too bad I won't get the opportunity to watch it because Yankee Stadium should be buzzing.

Pete Abraham reports that MLB and Bud Selig are going after Jason Giambi for admitting to his steroid use a couple of weeks ago and wants him to cooperate with former Senator George Mitchell in his investigation.  Not sure what will come out of it, but it is a story nonetheless.

The PA oddsmakers are taking some days off with four veterans scheduled to pitch the next four games.  They'll probably only resurface when the Yanks start rookies who have a hard time finding the plate (Clippard, DeSalvo, Igawa....etc.).  Let's hope we don't see any more of DeSalvo, but I suspect we'll see Igawa again before the season is over -- especially after the September 1st call-ups.
