It has been raining off and on all day here in the Chicagoland area and more rain is in the forecast tonight.  Let's hope they can get the game in because this team doesn't need to play any more double-headers.

Matt DeSalvo gets the call tonight in the wake of the Clemens setback and counters Jon Garland.  Clemens is now hoping to pitch Sunday, according to LoHud, after an MRI showed "disrupted scar tissue" in his right groin.

Andy Pettitte says he's hoping to make his next start on Friday after coming out of last night's game with back spasms.

Forgive me if I'm not oozing with confidence that DeSalvo will throw strikes with any consistency against a major league lineup -- even a struggling one like the Sox.  The PA oddsmakers have set the over/under on his walk total tonight at 4.  Place your bets.

It's worth noting that the Yanks play the ChiSox ten times in 2007 -- seven games on the road and three at the Stadium beginning in late July.  Strange.

The featured graphic for tonight's game is the official mascot of the Chicago White Sox, also known as Hawk Harrelson.
