Yikes! Bobby Abreu is back in the #3 hole.
Andy Pettitte will try to put the Yanks back in the win column tonight against Josh Beckett. Because yesterday's game was such a disaster in so many ways, it almost seems hard to believe that the Yanks can still take 2 of the 3 games this series.
Pete Abraham reports that Doug Mientkiewicz will be out for at least 6-8 weeks as a result of being hit by a freight train yesterday. He sustained some pretty serious injuries during that collision, including a broken wrist, so I'd be very surprised if we see him again before August.
It also appears that Clemens could make his 2007 debut on Saturday at Yankee Stadium against the Pirates if all goes well with his MRI scheduled for tomorrow. That figures. Like the Hughes debut, out-of-towners like myself won't be able to watch it.
The featured graphics for tonight is a very old school matchup with the official logo of the New York Highlanders way back in 1907 and the official logo of the Boston Americans from 1903 to 1907.
