The win streak has hit seven games and the Yanks continue to roll. I was especially impressed how they managed to beat a very good Brandon Webb last night who had been unhittable in his last 3 starts.
As for tonight, Mike Mussina hopes for more of the same from his last start where he looked very good against a very underachieving White Sox offense. Moose is 0-1 w/ 10.80 ERA in one career start against Arizona.
Livan Hernandez pitches for the D-Backs and is 0-2 w/ 4.12 ERA in three career starts against the Yankees. Hard to believe, but Hernandez is only 32 yrs old. It seems like this guy has been around for ages since huge rookie season with the Marlins.
Meanwhile, Johnny Damon is back in CF tonight while Melky gets the night off and Jorge Posada is the DH.
The featured graphic for tonight's game is the BP cap logo for the Arizona Diamondbacks used from 1998 to 2006.
