Los Angeles Angels

Reggie Willits,  LF
Orlando Cabrera,  SS
Vladimir Guerrero,  DH
Gary Matthews Jr.,  CF
Casey Kotchman,  1B
Howie Kendrick,  2B
Mike Napoli,  C
Robb Quinlan,  RF
Chone Figgins,  3B

John Lackey,  RHP  (7-3,  2.38)

New York Yankees

Melky Cabrera,  CF
Derek Jeter,  SS
Hideki Matsui,  LF
Alex Rodriguez,  3B
Jason Giambi,  DH
Robinson Cano,  2B
Bobby Abreu,  RF
Doug Mientkiewicz,  1B
Wil Nieves,  C

Mike Mussina,  RHP  (2-3,  6.52)

The Yanks hope to avoid the sweep as they send struggling Mike Mussina to the mound to counter John Lackey.  Dare I say it, but the Yanks have had very good success against Lackey (3-6,  5.76) during his career.

Of course, when it comes to the current snake-bitten Yankees, you can probably throw all of those old stats out the window.

As far as the lineup is concerned, I think it's safe to say that Bobby Abreu was moved out of the leadoff spot because he wasn't providing much of a spark atop the order.  Duh.
