After an outstanding debut at Shea, Tyler Clippard makes his Yankee Stadium debut against the Angels.  Look for the Angels' speedsters to try to rattle Clippard by running early and often.  I'm curious to see how the kid handles it.

Outside of Vladimir Guerrero, the Angels' lineup don't exactly remind anyone of Murderer's Row.  However, they are a scrappy bunch that have given Yankee pitchers big-time fits in recent years -- winning the season series against the Bombers every year since 2003.

MG's big man-crush, Chone Figgins, is not much more than a nice versatile player against most of the AL.  But, he has been the second coming of Lou Brock against the Yanks with a career BA of .359 against them.

According to LoHud, Roger Clemens will make his next start Monday for Triple-A Scranton and Kei Igawa will start on Tuesday.  No big surprise with Clemens considering his control struggles during his outing on Wednesday.

Also, Phil Hughes suffered a setback in his rehab today when he turned an ankle during agility drills.  An MRI has been scheduled as a precaution, so no word yet on how long his rehab will be delayed.
