AROD's 9th inning Grand Slam the charm

New, comments

What a game for ARod. After a terrible start by Igawa, which left the Yanks down 7-3 after five innings...the Yanks needed a miraculous comeback to even their record at 2-2. Here comes the recipe:

Enter the bullpen: 4 innings, one hit ball, no runs..

The long ball:

Giambi hits a three run jack to trim the lead to 7-6 in the eighth.

Add a little Cano two out single...
Sprinkle in a walk by Jeter...
A dash of Abreu's leg getting whacked...
Finally, a frickin' loaf of a monster walk off grand slam HR by ARod...in the black to win the game...10-6

This is quite a start for Alex (3-4 2 HR's, 6RBI's) and we can only hope that the starting pitching comes around because these miracle wins aren't going to be in the Yankee cook book all year without better efforts from the staff...
