A broadcast report that Chien-Ming Wang would face the Red Sox Sunday was false, Cashman said yesterday. "He is throwing Thursday for Tampa (Single-A)," Cashman said of the staff ace who is on the DL with a right hamstring problem.
If everything goes well, Wang will start for the Yankees next Tuesday in St. Petersburg against the Devil Rays.
