Shocker: Rivera gives up three run blast

New, comments

It's hard writing a quick review after watching a game like this.

Yanks lead  4-2, two outs in the ninth---bases empty---Mariano on the mound--game over, right?----WRONG.
Marco Scutaro hit the left field foul poll on an 0-2 pitch that Rivera left a little inside, belt high and flat for a three run walk off HR. What was Posada thinking calling for that pitch? They usually go up the ladder with a high fastball to get a guy chasing...

Rivera often gives up a game early in the season so let's hope this is the last time...He was strong, but a little wild today. It cost Andy Pettitte a win after he saved the bullpen today with seven outstanding innings...

Coming out of this series 1-2 is very disappointing with the way the staff pitched and an injury riddled A's offense...

Luckily it wasn't Farnsworth that lost the game...

ARod almost put the game away with a blast that Swisher caught at the top of the fence in deep right-center for a sac fly in the eighth...

Jeter cost us two runs in the first with his sixth error...
