Wang's typical sinking fastball consistently hit the mid nineties today and already shows that his power arm is up to mid season form. He threw four very good innings and now has to get his pitch count up, but he's good to go. I noticed that his slider looked a little sharper and sank more than it did last year and if he is able to make that part of his arsenal, OK...his second pitch...he'll record many more strikeouts this year...
Phil Hughes threw today also. He got roughed up again, but looks like a keeper. He threw 92-95mph and showcased a great curve ball. He just missed the corners with many of his pitches...so watch out for this young buck...
Jose Tabata stroked an opposite HR in the bottom of the ninth...
I share birthday's with Bobby Abreu and Kevin Reese. Happy birthday guys...
