Derek Jeter did not win a fourth Gold Glove Award.
The bad news is neither did any other Yankee. Robbie Cano is the only player I would consider worthy of consideration. He had a down year offensively, so he obviously wasn't going to win (because we all know the defensive award is tied to offensive performance.
Orlando Cabrera won his first AL Gold Glove (he'd won one in the NL with the Expos).
It's a small thing, but if Jeter had won it would have been impossible to get him to shift to third.
It's still unlikely, but where there's life there's hope.
