LoHud has the scoop:
RHPs Ross Ohlendorf and Jose Veras are in.
RHP Edwar Ramirez, LHP Ron Villone and RHP Chris Britton are out.
Torre said that Veras was on the roster all along because the staff is so impressed with his stuff. They went back and forth on Ohlendorf but decided they wanted his ability, velocity and stuff ahead of Ramirez.
OF Bronson Sardinha is also on the roster as a pinch runner.
It's hard to believe that the Yankees are going into the postseason with so many new faces. But it's a sign of where Brian Cashman is taking the organization.
I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised because I figured the final two slots would be occupied by Edwar and Villone. I'm not sold on Veras, but he's the lesser of two evils at this point.
