Bernie wants one more year

NY Post

Jorge Posada has talked to Bernie Williams frequently this winter, and says the longtime Yankee outfielder has no plans to retire.

"He's not even talking about that yet," Posada said at last night's Baseball Assistance Team dinner in Manhattan. "He said he wants to play one more year, so we'll see."

The problem is, the Yankees seem reluctant to bring back Williams for one more year, and that might force the 38-year-old's hand.

I have no idea how Bernie is going to make it on the team this year. Unless Melky is traded or an injury occurs, Williams days are numbered as a Yankee. That's a sad thought.
