Hideki Matsui is back! Well, not totally back. He went 1 for 3 with an RBI in his first live game since breaking his wrist diving for a ball earlier this year. He could be back as early as next week, taking his place in the starting lineup.

Before the Yankees concluded their three-game series at Kauffman Stadium last night, Torre said that the team's plans - for now - called for Matsui to be the Yankees' DH, with rookie Melky Cabrera remaining in leftfield.
Upon his return, the most feared lineup in baseball becomes even more fearsome. Hideki Matsui is one of my favorite players in this current Yankee team. He plays full out, always accepts what role he's given and hey, what's more fun than yelling "GOJIRA!!!!!!" every time he gets a hit?
