A-Rod showed signs of life. Johnson, with the exception of those meatballs, pitched well. The Yankees new team speed showed itself off. And rumors of Mariano Rivera's demise have been greatly exagerrated. Overall, an impressive day for the Yanks (with the exception being the first and ninth innings). It's looking like either way, we're facing the Twins or ChiSox. The ideal situation is to build up enough of a lead to coast and let the call-ups hold the fort down in this month into October.

Pavano has complained of a variety of ailments this year, including a pain in the buttocks.
Unintentional or not, it is incredibly appropriate.
