Damon savages Sox

Quick Notes:

Johnny Damon had a game that made Boston fans regret management's decision to let him go. He went 3-6 with a home run, 3 rbi's and a great catch in center field. Damon set the tone early and after a rough couple of innings the Yanks pounded the Red Sox 12-4.

Wang wasn't that sharp, but he seemed to make the right pitches at the right time to curtail the damage. He lasted six, giving up three runs and leading 4-3 until the Yanks broke the game open with four in the seventh.

Abreu went 4-5 and Giambi had three rbi's as well.
