Seduced by what many believe to be Venezuelan prospect Jesus Montero's enormous power, the Yankees signed the 16-year-old catcher to a $2 million contract Sunday.--- According to scouts, Montero is rated the best Latin American prospect this season. Like all Latin American 16-year-olds, Montero signed a 2007 contract. He will report to spring training next year and then play for the Gulf Coast League Yankees.
