The Rangers are looking to move outfielder Kevin Mench, who is making $2.8 million this year and will be a free agent in the winter, so he could be a decent rental option for the Yanks if they are looking for someone to plug into their right field hole. Texas has had interest in Shawn Chacon in the past - one of the few major leaguers the Yanks would be more than willing to move - though it's unclear if the Rangers still like the struggling righthander. Texas also might be willing to move Brad Wilkerson.
He's a guy I would snap up as quick as I can, especially if the asking price is Chacon.
