Hot and Cold

With the roller coaster first half of the 2006 season, I find it amazing the Yankees are only two and a half games out. But, in typical fashion, the Red Sox have peaked at the wrong time while the Bombers weather the storm. The question is whether the Yanks can peak in late September as they have usually done the last few seasons. What goes up, must come down and Boston is due for some struggles. Ponson could bring immediate relief but is he Al Leiter or Aaron Small. What big moves are ahead, if any? This next series against the White Sox could be a big indicator of how they'll perform. The crystal ball is not in my posession, but my Magic 8 ball says "All signs point to yes." It makes no sense, but I'll say the Yanks win two of three.
