Melky Cabrera back up

Sheffield goes on the day DL. The Yanks recalled outfielder Melky Cabrera from Triple-A Columbus:

Cabrera, 21, was tied for the International League lead with a .385 (47-for-122) batting average in 31 games for Triple-A Columbus in 2006. He ranked second among all IL hitters with 24 RBI, third with a .556 slugging percentage and has reached base safely in 28 of 30 games in which he made a plate appearance.

After his disastrous performance in Boston last year, are the Yanks rushing him back up too quickly? I just heard that Joe wants to play him soon. Torre has got to use Bubba this series I would think. What say you?
