That was an ugly game yesterday. Even THE BOSS thought so and spoke up about it:

The Boss, when asked what he thought of the game, stopped and said: "What did you think of the game," the Post reported...

"I'm upset at a lot of them," the New York Post reported...

The Boss then added, "the third baseman," the Post reported, in a reference to Rodriguez."
Anytime Steinbrenner speaks, especially in a negative tone, about the Yankees, it'll make the newspapers. He says less, and what he does say carries more weight. What he doesn't say carries weight as well. The Boss left Johnson out of his statement. I can understand why to some extent. The errors kept an inning going that should have ended easily. The fielders let Johnson down and his confidence plummeted. Five unearned runs. FIVE. This is not the way to play ball. Steinbrenner knows it, we know it, and hopefully the Yankees know it.
