I'd love to see Tino everyday with the crew. He's a class guy who embodied the spirit of baseball much the same way the man he replaced did. Donnie Baseball. He wasn't as great, but we wouldn't have won those four championships without him.
I remember when he came over in the trade from Seattle with Jeff Nelson. He got off to a terrible start, heard the boos and then settled in and never looked back. His first year with the Yanks he finished with a .292 BA, 25 HR's, and 117 RBI's while sharing first base with Cecil Fielder in the playoffs. In '97 he had his best year clubbing 44 HR's with 141 RBI's.
