Picking the Ballot apart

You could drive yourself mad with these kinds of things. Newsday has a list of the MVP BALLOTS. While most of the sportswriters have Jeter and Morneau at the top two slots, it's interesting to see how regionalism affects the voting. There are also some surprises like Travis Hafner getting a second place vote and Johnny Damon getting a mention in the top five.

Last year A-Rod won by the skin of his teeth as well, but since he played the field that gave him an undisputed edge. This season, I am still baffled at how Morneau is considered the Twins best player much less the League's MVP. So have at it, pick apart the ballot. Discuss. I've got a 12 pound ham to prepare.
