A-Rod is in...as an American in the World Baseball Classic. The statement from his website reads like a commercial for the tournament:
"I appreciate the support and understanding of my fellow Dominican players and friends who aided me in making this decision. The World Baseball Classic offers baseball and its fans an exciting new forum and I look forward, if selected, to representing the United States in what will be baseball's greatest international competition."
Rodriguez will join Johnny Damon and Derek Jeter as Yankee representatives of the U.S. team. He's made his decision, and the world can now breathe a sigh of relief now that A-Rod has finally made his decision. I'm sure many of you can breathe a sigh of relief that I can finally stop blogging about it.
