Giambi's two-run, two out home run in the eighth inning tonight brought the Yanks all the way back from a first inning 4-0 hole. Wright got lit up early but pulled it together to keep us in the game until the seventh when Tanyon came in and finally didn't make matters worse.
I thought for sure we were done after Jeter hit into another DP with the bases full in the seventh, but somehow A-Rod plunked a hit and Giambi hit a screamer for the win. This team is so unstable I would have normally said that this victory would be the tipping point. I thought that happened in Oakland over the weekend too only to lose yesterday's game in horrendous fashion so we'll just have to take it day to day.
Let's hope Sheffield's hammy is nothing serious.
