Yanks handle Red Sox 8-4

Aaron "bleeping" Small made it into the seventh inning again and somehow got enough outs to go 7-0. I thought he might not make it past the fourth, but he pulled it together and did what he's been doing since his call up from the minors. Throw strikes and get people out.

Jeter's perfect relay throw (how many times have we seen that?) nipped Varitek at the plate in the third and Posada did something I can't remember him doing in a long time. He blocked home plate and took a crushing collision by the Boston catcher and held on to the ball. Jorge also had three hits, including his sixteenth home run. A-Rod had another great game against Boston as he went 3-4 and hit the tying home run in the third.

The Bombers broke the game open with four runs in the sixth; helped out by an error by Damon and Renteria.
