I'll write more about this later, but Dotel was a firebrand until he turned into a closer. He made the A's fans cry for Jason Isringhausen. Now he comes off of Tommy John surgery and there are whispers that the Yanks are interested.
Before surgery, Dotel was 1-2 with a 3.52 ERA and seven saves in 11 chances for Oakland. The former Met owns a career 3.63 ERA and 71 saves in 99 chances with 78 lifetime holds.
Your thoughts? I say go after Julian Tavarez hard. We finally have two lefties in the bullpen that we can feel good about and we need one more good arm. Aaron Small can fill so many roles for us and is a great wild card to have if he pitches like he did last year. Seanez looks like he'll wear a Red Sox uniform next year also.
