Ron Guidry is the new Pitching coach

It'll be great to see Guidry back in pinstripes. Obviously he can do the job or I doubt they would give him the shot. I hope I'm not being a sentimentalist on this hire, but to see him with Mattingly on the bench is a really nice touch. My best to Mel who suffered through probably the worst teams in Yankee history and still pitched like a champ.

Who can forget his 25-3 with a 1.74 ERA to help the Yankees overcome a 14-game deficit in the AL East, eventually overtaking the Red Sox and winning a second consecutive World Series title.
