Joba Takes Advantage of Spring Training

Just caught this post from Tyler Kepner:
[Chamberlain] has been playing catch every day with Chien-Ming Wang, and he said Wang had taught him the sinker, which he used for three ground-ball outs on Monday.
I've got to say I admire the work ethic to toy with new pitches when the instinct would seem to be to just throw the fastball and slider that were so effective last season. So long as those pitches are where they need to be Opening Day, this is pretty cool.
Last year, it was not an effective pitch for him. "It kind of stayed straight or got hit real far," Chamberlain said.
In light of this, I'm not worried about the 49 pitches it took Joba to get through 2.1 innings.
Billy Traber gave up his first hit of the spring finishing off the inning for Joba. He also notched a K.
IPK went 4 innings, 2 hits, 1 BB, 1K.
Oh yeah, that Rivera fellow pitched a 13 pitch, 1-2-3 inning.
