A-Rod to play in the All Star Game

After receiving 3.9 million votes from the fans, Alex Rodriguez decided to spend All Star weekend being a part of the show rather than sitting in the stands, watching it.

"The game is about the fans, and to get that many votes, you feel like you have a responsibility to go out there and play well," he said.

His leg injury was not enough to deter him from participating. He's been playing full out and has been productive since his injury. These games always scare me because of the risk of such an important player getting hurt. But baseball needs it's best player there, representing it's top franchise to take away from the Barry Bondsapalooza that's going to take place in San Francisco.

a couple innings, then pull him. The less he plays the better. And tell C-Rod not wear anything offensive.

and Posada should say he ate some bad clam chowder. No one needs 3 days off more than he does.

The All Star game is dopey. But having it in the Bronx next year will be cool I must admit.

fucking ridiculous.. selig needs a reality check.. home field should go to.. ummm... maybe the team with the best record????? like every other major professional sport!!

(except the superbowl of course, who's sight isn't determined by the previous year's pop warner championship)
