Worst case senario, the pitching just takes too darn long to come together. I think it will come together but say that takes a while. All these starters are gonna be under huge pressure to come back immediately so I predict a rough outing (hopefully not two) for each before they settle in for what we know (and for Pavano hope) they can do.

What if the Yankees don't make the playoffs? Alex still wins the MVP, and still has the opportunity to walk. The attraction of New York is that it is supposed to be a contender every year, so what happens if the year he can walk away from it all it isn't.

On the other hand if the pitching comes together, or comes most of the way together I think we only will get beat by superhuman pitching efforts. Because thats what it will take to shut Alex down at this point.
