ARod and the playoffs. It's worse than you think!
You probably know about his 4-for-47 slump and his streak of 14 games without an RBI, but this is the most telling stat: Since Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS - the night Boston began its epic comeback from three games down against the Yankees - Rodriguez has come to the plate with 38 runners on base, over the span of 59 at-bats. He left every single one on base, going 0-for-27, right through the Yanks' Division Series loss to Cleveland this month.
He left-every-single-runner-on-base. Let's see Scott Boras blame these stats on Mariano Rivera...

Ha
There's this from the NY Times on him:
"That decision triggered a firestorm of negative attention for Rodriguez, possibly tarnishing the image of an image-conscious player. For that reason, said a person close to Rodriguez who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Rodriguez is dismayed with the fallout and is considering whether to give the Yankees a discount on the front end of a new contract.
The Yankees have been firm in their plans not to chase Rodriguez as a free agent, because his opt-out decision cost them a $30 million subsidy from the Texas Rangers. But if Rodriguez truly wants to come back, he could rectify that by pledging to take a pay cut over the next three seasons, essentially returning the Texas money to the Yankees."

God I hope this idiot and his slimy agent completely miscalculated their worth. Jerks.
That would be a double edged sword

I don't want him back
I have no problem with Hank and Hal. Unlike their pop, they don't seem to be interfering with their GM. They're letting him make all the decisions.
I thought specifically mentioning Jeter when speaking about ARod was a brilliant twist of the knife by Hank.
I agree
I've listened to Marlins games and Tampa Bay games and wondered if ANYONE was at the ballpark. That's what Arod deserves.
It's so bizarre that he had FINALLY worked himself into the hearts of NYY fans and then just blew it all to hell. Apparently none of it means anything to him.
It's all business. Not baseball history, not baseball honor. Judging by the fact that he announced during the last half of the last world series game, dissed Hank Aaron and gave up Monument Park, he obviously thinks he's bigger than baseball history, baseball glory, baseball heroes.
Douchebag.
Hank still worries me
