Around SBN: Ohio State And Florida Target 2013 Receiver Recruits

We. We. We.

We talked about this in another thread, but it makes me happy to see it.

Take it away Cap'n:

First of all, it's what we need to do. I can't stress that enough. It's we. We're trying to win, we're trying to beat Cleveland, we need to play well...

Talking about his season, I haven't seen a season as good as that from anyone whether it's on my team or on a different team. He's played as well as anyone I've ever seen, but we need to do good in the postseason.

Thanks
Jscape. I loved it as well. He looks like a man on a mission. And he also looks bitter. I don't know if it's this whole image like, "we haven't done shit yet" he's trying to exude throughout the team. Or is he just fed up with the A-Rod questions. Whatever he's doing he looks a lot more focused (for himself) than I can recall in recent memory.

It's 2:fucking21 and I'm about to take half a bottle of NyQuil so I don't wake up till 1st pitch tomorrow. This has taken forever.

Six pack with Nyquil Chasers
I went to school at Arizona State, and remember drinking a six pack of Corona followed by half a tub of Nyquil. I was out of my mind for two days!

I may have had an out of body experience, been probed by aliens, or dragged through desert cactus, I really have zero recollection of those "missing 48 hours". Stay away from the GREEN, my friend. It's Satan's elixir, and it wil rob you of fabulous Yankees memories as they steamroll over Cleveland.

Day One games...
Here's a shock...

In all three games yesterday, the losing team got 4 hits.  Pitching dominates in the playoffs.

Mistakes left the park, for winners and losers.

Vlad's (Angels version of ARod) had skinny post season numbers, but yesterday he got two hits, rest of Angels - two hits.  Lose.  I would rather see ARod go hitless with 4Ks and win with the other 8 than for him to satisfy the haters and get a couple of hits with the Yankees losing.

I kinda like the "experts" picking against us.  We aren't in the underdog role a lot and it could give us just a little more focus to show we've still got it.

I'm already pacing the floor.

Oh those bases on balls. Can anyone here throw strikes???

This is the same
pitching you're talking about that NY beat...5/6 games in August and Sept - beating Schilling 2 times, Beckett and Matsuwhatever?

Granted NY pitching staff isn't #1, and the team will probably have a real fight against Cleveland, but an utter dismissal vs the Red Sox ignores the season series and the success that NY had against Boston's frontline starters, bullpen and Papelbomb.

Hmm...
... hasn't Joba pitched 20 innings? It's great to throw out stats but how about checking it first?

Now this isn't saying Yankee pitchers are better than Boston's but if your pitchers were so great why did you only win 96 games? What part of your team is so bad you lost 66 games? Is that part of your team not participating in the post season? Wow congratulations then, lets call Bud and tell him to cancel the post season since it is already clear that Boston will win it... LOL
