Aaron " bleeping" Small

What a job by Small. This guy is unbelievable. A career journeyman turns into an all-star. When will Joe stop messing around and leave him in the rotation? Get Leiter out of there and pitch this guy. Small pitched a complete game shut out, both firsts in the major leagues for him and it couldn't have happened at a better time. What's so impressive is his poise. He looks like a guy who has been pitching in the league for years. Nothing seems to faze him and for any pitcher in New York that says a lot.

A-Rod comes through with the game breaking two run single and Giambi iced it with a three run blast.

couldn't agree more on Small. he's been absolutely amazing since his first start, and just getting better and better. by my counts, he's got 5 starts and in those he's 4-0 with a 2.05 ERA. why Torre ever pulled him out of the starting rotation is beyond me. but that's not to take anything away from Leiter. he's had some extremely gutsy performances and came through big several times when we had no other alternative. he certainly deserves a medal. but still, when it comes down to Small vs. Leiter for the last starting position, it's a no-brainer.

Today's NY Times said he doesn't think he'll be back this season?????? What's the deal with his injury? I haven't heard about any MRIs or trips to Dr. James Andrews or anything. He's not even on the DL as far as I know. And suddenly he's finished? Can anybody shed some light on this?
