Everybody knows that only two visits are allowed to the mound in an inning per pitcher, with the second visit requiring that the pitcher be removed from the game. The question I have pertains to player-managers, particularly infielders. Infielders frequently visit the pitcher, especially with runners on base. If the manager is playing an infield position and makes one of those visits, does it count as an official visit? Or is there a designated coach in the dugout for making those visits?
