As I'm sure you guys have seen David Freese is presumably heading to Anaheim. With that being said it is highly unlikely the 2011 World Series MVP will end up in pinstripes for 2014. The question of who will play third base still ligners in the Bronx. One player that I figured might be available is the Diamondbacks' Martin Prado. He has double digit home run power as well as doubles power, while working the count and getting on base as well. He isn't an All Star but nonetheless, is a winning type of player who could prove to be valuable. The Diamondbacks have a young thirdbaseman in Matt Davidson, who has some skills, albeit with a ton of strikeouts, but could make Prado expendable for the right deal.
All in all, Prado is an under the radar performer with versatility who I think would be a great fiit in the Bronx. What are your thoughts? Should Cashman pursue Prado, Reynolds, or someone else to play third base in 2014?
