The Premature Sinking of the USS Pinstripes

"And as General Cashman pleaded for reinforcements, he watched some of his most beloved lieutenants left for Pittsburgh and Cleveland. He begged the Steinbrenners to spare more funds from the war chest, but only veterans of wars long past came to replenish his ranks."

Excerpt from Ken Burns' "How the Yankees Finished 70-92 in 2013".

This team has an excellent pitching staff, no matter how old it is, and the offense will still likely be in the top half of the league. Panic sells, but I ain't buying. The Yankees will be pretty damned good in 2013.
