What current Yankees do you guys think has a shot for the Hall of Fame? As evident by the teams success for the past decade and a half, we have many of this generations greater ball players, but how many of these greats have or could have Hall of Fame careers?
I think we have to start with Jeter and Rivera, these two set the standards for a ball player, and are first ballot HOF locks, A-Rod also has all the numbers for first ballot selection, but we will have to see how the voters start treating steroids users. CC, Cano, and Tex are all well on their way to the Hall but it is far too early to call them locks. I think Andy is a long shot but with a good year this year, he might be able to put his name into discussions, especially as someone who is very liked by the voters, evident by everyone practically forgetting he admitted to HGH use. I think someone that is highly overlooked on the Yankees roster, but should probably get close, if not in, is Andruw Jones. While he is a productive platoon player for this team, he is a shell of his former self, and many people forget that. This guy was one of the games greatest players in his prime, and should be highly considered, if the Atlanta Brave great puts together two more seasons of above average play he should be considered a lock for the Hall, what do you guys think?
