Chipper Jones announces retirement following 2012 season

The man known in New York as "Larrrrrrry" has more years of service time with one club (18 with the Braves) than any active player. Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera are right behind him with 17. Jones is a sure-fire Hall of Famer and never had problems with the Yankees, hitting .353/.446/.588 against them in 22 regular season games and .265/.512/.441 in two World Series losses.
