Bob Lorenz Arrested on DUI Charges
The Yankees' in-game host on the YES Network was found slumped over his steering wheel at a stop sign. I wonder how this will affect his future with the organization...

I am in no way condoning drinking and driving ...
….I hope Lorenz doesnt get fired though. I think he does a solid job and everybody deserves a second chance.
Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.
Well this is certainly not going to go over well

Sigh… the last thing we need is Nancy Newman in studio for pre- and post-game.

On the positive side...
At least he didn’t have a hooker tied up and gagged in the trunk!

If he has no other record of doing this kind of thing, I wouldn't fire him.
I don’t get YES, so this isn’t based on my love for his sonorous voice. None of us know the circumstances, but self- righteous idignation aint pretty either. Unless it was affecting his job performance, there is no legitimate reason to fire him except to make those of us who haven’t been in his shoes feel superior and sanctimonious. Criticizing him or making fun of him only makes us feel better. Ask Marv Albert.

I have zero problem criticizing anyone for drunk driving.

Give the poor guy a break!
Of course, drunken driving is unacceptable behavior for anyone, not to mention extremely dangerous to the driver and anyone else unlucky enough to happen to be in his way. But, none of us know the circumstances of this situation and none of us is so perfect as to sit in judgement. For all we know, he had a bad cross reaction with some sort of medication he is taking. Or, he is an alcoholic with no past instances of DUIs and had a relapse, ala a famous ballplayer everyone is bending over backwards to make excuses for. In any event, it is the responsibility of the State of Connecticut to meet out punishment, not the readers of PSA and, considering the absence of any other incriminating evidence or history of bad behavior, we all ought to take a breath and give the guy a break.
As far as his job with YES is concerned, I think he does a great job and would be sorry to see him lose his position because of one such embarassing incident. A little compassion, rather than a rush to judgement, would seem to be in order here.
You clearly didn’t read any of the above comments.

An arrest isn't a conviction
Let’s wait to see what the evidence brings. If he had a .34 BAC, then he deserves what criminal penalties would be coming for him.
That must have been
one hell of a Super Bowl party!
