Orioles ace Jeremy Guthrie traded to the Rockies for pitchers Jason Hammel and Mark Lindstrom

Interesting maneuver here by both teams. Guthrie could help sure up the Rockies rotation, and I guess two pitchers might be worth the price of one Guthrie, all things considered. Either way, as always the O's rotation should be interesting to look at.

The Orioles also DFA'd Clay Rapada.

Supposedly he's good against lefties. Uh oh.

Orioles have had discussions with Manny Ramirez

Maybe Manny just really loves the AL East? Toronto & the A's are still interested as well.

Mariners sign relievers Hong-Chih Kuo and Shawn Camp

I seriously almost typed Hong Kong Phooey. Anyway, looks like the M's are trying to sure up the bullpen with some cheap options. Deadspin seems to think the Mariners might have gotten an absolute steal with Kuo. We'll see how well it works out for them.

It's......all coming together alright. You can really see the smiles on the Marlins face. In fact, it just reminded me of something, and I really wonder if this is what the Marlins are planning...

Seriously, I would really love to talk with or interview the people actually building this gaudy monstrosity and see what they think of it.

And he was actually a quality addition to the lineup, and seeing as he’ll just be the yin to Jones’ yang at the DH slot, I don’t see any problems with it whatsoever.
