Yankees Top Prospect on the Farm

The season is less than 60 days away and catchers and pitchers will be reporting soon. Who on the farm is most likely to impact the team this season?

Manny Banuelos is a 20 year old left handed pitcher. He is arguably the best Yankees prospect right now. His fastball is in the 90's and he changeup has been described as a "plus". He needs to develop a third pitch to be effective in the bigs. In the minors he has been developed very slowly, but this could be the year that he breaks through to the big leagues. His ERA was pretty high but the run support in the majors along with the better defense could cancel that out. Last year Marino Rivera in spring training said Manny was the best pitching prospect he's ever seen.

Here are his 2011 Stats (between AA Trenton and AAA Scranton WB)

27 GS - 129.2 IP - 4.38 ERA - 125 Ks - 63 ER - 1.56 WHIP
