That roster size
is gi-fucking-normous. Especially if you get 16 teams, the free-agent pool will be absolutely barren. People will be picking up 3rd-string utility infielders, as that’ll be all that’s left

Again, everything is extremely flexible. With no waivers all players just become free agents and you add/drop them whenever you’d like without restrictions. I find that it makes it a lot easier.

I just feel that’s a little unfair to the guys that set their lineup twice a week over those that can log on every day. I’m the latter.
And can you select people who are going to stay active all season long? We had people who didn’t even bother showing up for the draft.

This
I check every day, but I don’t like it when I’m in a league where half the people don’t care. It takes the fun away.

I would like to do this
but i’ve never done fantasy baseball so I don’t want to bring it down for everyone else!
You have to start somewhere. I don’t think anyone really minds answering questions if someone doesn’t get something.

Possible suggestion:
Since it’s likely we’ll need more than 1 league, could we do 1 Yahoo and 1 ESPN, for those who have a preference (like me)?

Alright, it’s set up. Do you want to just have people mention if they have a preference between the two, then split up the rest, or something else?

Ideally, probably the same, or less depending on how many people there are. I tend to think 16 is too many.

Have people say if they have a preference when they comment, I guess. If they don’t have a preference, we can split the rest up randomly (or however, probably doesn’t matter) until both leagues have 12-14 people?

Would like to play
Hi Brandon, hopefully you remember me, I won the league 2 years ago. Would be interested in playing again this year if possible. One question, is it a daily or weekly league?
Thanks.

Check your dates, bud. 2010 Pinstripe Alley League, 1st place.
You won the other league Scooby, I believe there were two Yahoo leagues that year
Sadly, I finished second in that one.

I've only really used Yahoo
And I recently made a Yahoo name that matches my SBN screenname. On the other hand, I suppose I could do the same for ESPN. So I guess I’m saying I have slight preference for Yahoo, but don’t really care.

ESPN is much better than Yahoo btw.

Yahoo over ESPN, but it doesn't really matter much to me
And I’m interested in participating in both leagues. If I win 2 leagues I can trash talk more than if I only win one.

I want in!
I finished first in the regular season before losing in the first round of the playoffs in last year’s PA league. I’d like a chance for redemption! I prefer Yahoo, personally.
We’re basically going to split the people who didn’t say they had a preference for which league they’d be in, so if you have strong feelings one way or the other, now’s the time to say something about it.

I do wish that I could be a better Fantasy player
Sadly despite my best efforts I always seem to forget to check them daily and deal with all that. Believe my team finished near or at the bottom of the PSA Yahoo league last year. womp womp

If you have an IPhone or Android
There’s a mobile app that lets you combine all fantasy teams you have on both ESPN and Yahoo for all four major sports. I’m not saying it will help, but it certainly will make it easier to check and update your teams every day. Literally just 1-2 minutes wherever you are, at most. I find it really helpful.

Don't have one.
I have an iPod touch, but that doesn’t always have wireless. It’s no worries though, I never usually do well in Fantasy anyway.

Have either of you considered expanding Hits into 1B, 2B, 3B, HR
Simply having a “Hits” category really assumes all hits are the same. Seems a bit unfair to treat a single as valauable as a triple, doesn’t it? Plus you get double credit for a HR (hit + HR) which seems a bit redundant and gives extra value to guys who only hit HRs while lessening the value of a guy who hits a lot of Extra Base Hits.
Just food for thought from a guy who plays a lot of fantasy ball!
