someone misheard

They’re going to “bill” the “Hall” of Fame for the rights to all of the Yankee logos in the building. It’s the only explanation that makes sense.

We already have Swish!

And I suppose since AJ’s a headcase that also counts as crazy.

actually, I sort of blame myself

I’ve been agitating for a year or so now that the Yankees are going to need a “super-sub” who can play multiple positions so that Rodriguez and Jeter can have a day off. But the Yankees ignored the “super” and think “sub” means “scrub.”

Same.

Does Bill Hall really bring anything that the combo of Nunez and Jones doesn’t? I don’t really get it.

He works with Kevin Long in the off-season, if it’s a MILB deal, it’s probably like how Pena suggested Colon

if it's a minor league deal, then I'm fine with it

I worry that it might be a major league deal, and the Yankees will be too stubborn to cut him loose even if it becomes obvious he can’t contribute. As they are often wont to do.

Yeah, I hope it’s a MILB deal, and think it will be. Hopefully someone outplays him for a job

I’d be fine with a minor league deal, but I just don’t really see what he can bring to the table that someone we already have can’t.

I regret nothing

Well, other than the sequence of events that might lead to us signing Bill Hall.

I’m never upset by minor league deals, but I hope this isn’t the type where he’s expected to just get the job as long as he doesn’t play terribly in ST

The Yankees often do these types of deals, so I’m not really surprised. Much like Randy Winn’s

Randy Winn is an excellent example of what I was talking about above

Not directly above where you merely said “The Yankees” – no one’s talking about anything there. But he’s a guy the Yankees picked up thinking he could help out, and stuck with long after it was apparent he could not help.
