Only 9 countries in the world are eligible to play TEST cricket.
This week: 5th ranked Pakistan, beat England, ranked no. 1 in the world.
Also
4th ranked Australia beat 3 ranked India.

It's still a pretty strong system

I just wish the guys predicted to become strong major league hitters were a little closer to the majors. I’m liking the Dom Brown idea more and more each day, but I also think it’s unlikely.

I know I’ll be really ticked off if Ibanez is a Yankee though.

But really though, it’ll be interesting to see what a few of the super hyped guys do at higher levels. I think I’m going to go see Charleston play again this season, and that team should be stacked.

How would you rate Coples, UNC DE? The Cowboys are looking into him and so far I would be very happy to get him in the NFL draft. What do you think?

Good to hear from someone who watches him play a lot.

People on BTB have been reporting he’s lazy and looks disinterested. But from film highlights I see the next Julius Peppers.

He is one of my favorite players, and probably my favorite from here going to the NFL. To me, Donte Paige-Moss is the one people need to worry about having a bad attitude, not Coples.

Dante Bichette Jr.

definitely one to keep your eye on, as he continues to show he’s a legit 3rd baseman and if he keeps up the similar approach at the plate( patient with good contact skills) he could be one to move quick.

And with the way Eli is playing I don’t think he and the Giants will have a problem scoring off the Patriots defense. I think they’ll get more than 20.

I dont think Harper will play in the ML this year

If he does it will be due to a massive injury bug to the outfielders or a late september call up just to give him a cup of coffee… His ETA is 2013… next year we will likely get our first taste of Harper in a Nat Uniform

I know he uses this “oxygen chamber”, but there has to be something else going on. You don’t play back-to-back 5 hour matches with no ill effects.

That, and not to be too prejudiced, but I have to think Serbia is a little like the DR for baseball…kind of a Wild West situation with a lot of kids trying to get out of poverty. Except instead of lying about their age, they use super-secret post-Soviet chemistry?

According to Cot's, the Yankees' payroll stands at $207.5 million

That’s for 20 players, including all the Arb guys but not league-minimum guys like Nova & Pineda.

Maybe they really are done adding this year, unless it’s through a trade. It will be interesting to see what they do w. that DH spot if they’ve decided there’s no money left.

The Orioles have discussed free agent first baseman Casey Kotchman, according to Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com.

Sadly, he’s probably my favorite FA option for DH left.

He’s my choice. Good numbers against right handed pitching. I really don’t see the downside with him. He’ll probably be cheap and if he sucks, you Randy Winn him.
