Unless you're a fan of small signings that probably won't have any bearing on the 2012 season, there's really nothing going on with Major League Baseball right now. Actually, Fausto Carmona isn't actually Fausto Carmona. So there's that.
However, if you're interested in international players, perhaps you've heard of Gerardo Concepcion, an 18-year-old lefty who defected from Cuba, along with Aroldis Chapman, at a tournament last June.
The Yankees are known to be interested in the lefty. In Cuba's main amateur league, Concepcion went 10-3 with a 3.36 ERA in 21 games, including 16 starts. As of right now, that's the best I can do in finding information about him.
