there has been some contact between matsui and #yankees. decent fit, considering team budget, his background

no it wasn't

There are still some funny moments, but this show is going on too long. I’m glad they going to resolve Barney/Robin by season’s end, though.

There's already a theory on who the mother is

The theory

Is that the “mother” is Barney’s sister-in-law.

"WHO WOULD LEAD?! THE CLOWN?!"

by I'mGivingYouARaise on Jan 16, 2012 10:47 PM EST up reply actions

who's his sister-in-law?

Is this a character that’s been introduced? I am operating under the assumption that Barney is going to marry Robin at the end of the year. Is Robin’s sister the mother?

by long time listener on Jan 16, 2012 10:48 PM EST up reply actions

You mean half-sister? Barney’s dad’s daughter?

Barney’s half sister

that makes more sense

And does not conflict with my assumption.

by long time listener on Jan 16, 2012 10:51 PM EST up reply actions

That's an interesting thought.

I think I’ve heard that theory before and it would make sense. I wonder when they’re planning that wedding. Season 8 (and possible series) finale?

She wasn't

But it was mentioned that Barney’s dad has a daughter in college. Theoretically, judging what her roommate said about her (she always steals boyfriends and such), judging that they supposedly are going to meet at Barney’s wedding, it’s a logical assumption.

Topic of discussion:

The Rays scored more runs on the road in 2011 than the Yankees.

DISCUSS!

For starters, I am shocked, in a pleasantly surprised kind of way. The Rays have improved their lineup so far. Assuming a decent pick up at 1b rather than Kotchman (Pena maybe), could the Rays score as many runs as the Yankees in 2012?

Yankees (6)

Russell Martin – $6.7MM
Brett Gardner – $3.3MM
Phil Hughes – $3MM
Joba Chamberlain – $1.7MM

David Robertson – $1.5MM
