Brian "Freddy Krueger" Cashman
Let me start by saying what a Great trade. Everyone is knocking Pineda but I love the Felix 2.0. If everyone forgets it wasn't the Killer B's or Matt Moore in the first half of the season everyone was talking about. Pineda was on every baseball tonight highlight and MLB network. I think Brian " Freddy Krueger" Cashman went into your dream of Mr. Montero being a Yankee and killed it! I love how for the past 4 months it has been farm, budget, and Jesus is the new Yankee way. In one night they add 10 million to the payroll(I know it's just 1 year but Still 10 mill) and they traded away a guy who was suppose to be the next great Yankee. What has me baffle is with Kuroda the Yanks still would of had a great Rotation. CC,Nova,Hughes/Burnett/Garcia for the 4-5. Plus you have Noesi/Betance/Warren who if Freddy or Burnett couldn't hack it we had young arms waiting. This is why I think Freddy Krueger Cashman is going to take the Dreams of Yankees fan all over and trade away one of the Killer B's or both to fill a need in DH or move A-Rod to DH. Then go out and get a Third basemen.
Just my opinion on the Rotation I would like to see it go
CC, Kuroda,Pineda,Nova,Freddy/Hughes/Burnett
Pineda vs AL East 3's an Nova as a 4 will Bully all other 4's
As for the 5th you make it so te best guy in Spring Training gets it
Push Hughes and Burnett but I think Freddy will get it.

Brain? His name is Brian.
And yes, even though people seem to not like the trade, which I don’t know why. I LOVE the trade. Pitching>Hitting. Remember that.

I think it’s an intentional (Brain = smart = this trade) mistake. Or I’m overestimating the author of this post.

He better not trade one or both of the B’s for a freakin DH. But I’m not worried about that.
Yes, that is Mike Marra.

Betances will be the next to go
When? Who knows. They won’t part with ManBan until he at least gets some starts to prove if he’s worth keeping.
Romine!
I'm getting there too
I don’t understand why everyone dumps on Betances but hails Banuelos as our next ace.
ManBan has youth and superior control on his side. Yes, they both had gross walk rates last year (and really every season since A-Ball), but they reached them in different ways. Betances was legitimately wild for a lot of the season. Banuelos’ fault last year was trying to snipe corners too much, and really, just didn’t get a whole lot of pitches on the black called strikes.
Neither is good thing by any stretch, but one is a lot easier to fix than the other.

And then they’ll trade ManBan for the next shiny toy that’s available

'Brian Cashman' is just the name of computer software that directs Yankee player acquisition.
The balding, 30ish man you see in the pictures is a computer- generated image of what a mild- mannered human GM might look like, in the same fashion as ‘Rusty Jones’ or ‘Aunt Jemima.’ You were aware of this, right?
The ‘Hal Steinbrenner’ character was created by the Cashman program to give fans something to vent about when the Cashman program makes its inevitable mistakes. ‘Hal,’ is of course, named after HAL 9000, the computer from ‘2001, Apace Oddysey,’ who goes berserk and tries to kill the entire crew of the Discovery. In the same manner, the HAL Steinbrenner program is ‘blamed’ for computer glitches like the Soriano sighting.

Ok, so I lurk at other sites
And when I was lurking at OTM after the trade all the Sawx fans were saying things like, “Wow, if only we had a GM who would take risks and bolster the rotation…” That’s pretty much a sea-change from the "Blah blah anybody could win with the Yankees checkbook, Theo love-fest (I used a dirtier word than ‘love-fest’ but SOPA censored me).
Just interesting to see this. Kind of like how the Is-Eli-Elite debate has pretty much been resolved, the Does-Cashman-Win-Just-Cuz-of-Money debate looks wrapped up.
Live every week like it's shark week.
The Sawx are evidently tapped out in terms of taking on any more payroll.
That makes it difficult to get a starting pitcher without giving up an established position player. The only tradable piece they have is Jacoby Ellsbury, whom they are in love with.
